A former silver and goldsmith, self-taught in old-world techniques of model millinery and blocking, Indra sculpts both free-form and using her own hat blocks to create original whimsical designs. Each hat is hand-made by Indra herself, using only the finest natural materials she’s collected during her travels over the years: feathers, 22k gold leaf, sterling silver, vintage African trade beads, jewels, pearls, the finest Akoya and Abalone buttons, antique brooches, Edwardian and Victorian buttons and pins.

Once upon a time, a big bootied blonde-to-brunette creeper goddess named Sarah Piane met a nappy headed african girl named Amaka Ofoegbu. They fell in love. One day, Sarah told Amaka about how her pet rat once chewed through a pair of newly bought expensive pants, making them look more badass than before she purchased them. This inspired Sarah to one day have a clothing line named Rat Co. With a combination of Sarah's love for everything rock and roll, and Amaka's obession with bright colors and crazy patterns, they took off, getting help from friends along the way. Their journey is far from over.
